About
I am a Ph.D candidate in 20th century Spanish American Literature at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Colorado at Boulder. My dissertation explores the motif of the circle of artists in six novels from Argentina, Chile, Cuba, and Mexico: "Los siete locos (1929)/Los lanzallamas (1931)" by Roberto Arlt, "Adán Buenosayres" (1948) by Leopoldo Marechal, "Rayuela" (1963) by Julio Cortázar, "Tres tristes tigres" (1967) by Guillermo Cabrera Infante, "Palinuro de México" (1977) by Fernando del Paso, and "Los detectives salvajes" (1998) by Roberto Bolaño.
